|| FIRST FLOOR
The fireplace in the Parlor is roaring, flames curling up the wall and scorching the wallpaper. Though the room is warm in contrast to the almost deadly chill of the rest of the house, it holds too many dangers to linger in for long. The Burning Man crouches in the fireplace, his eyes focused on some distant point beyond the room.
It is possible to pass through the room, as the ghost is slow to rise, and even slower to give chase, but it is better to take precautions when doing so.
Above the ghost, writhing as they are wrapped in flames are Wallcrawlers. Though the flames seem to hurt them, they do little to slow them down, and they are not at all opposed to dropping on the house-guests who pause to study the ghost.
They can be found throughout the First House, though mostly in hallways. The smell of burning flesh and hair is horrific, but easy to dismiss in the house. The creatures seem more interested in hunting than usual. The flames do make them easier to see.
Something lingers in the furthest corners of the Ballroom though it seems to be asleep. The creature is massive, easily capable of swallowing a man in a single snap of its jaws. It is covered in sparse fur, though for the most part its hide is thick and somewhat scaly. Fangs can easily be seen in its partially open mouth, bits of meat and drool making its breath a powerfully foul experience. Deep gouges mark its face, as though something has attacked it, but they are slowly closing as the house-guests watch. It doesn't stir if prodded, ignoring any attempts that might be made to rouse it from its slumber.
It is snoring, each breath rocking its body, and radiates quite a bit of body heat for those daring enough to creep close to it. Though rather alarming and large, it seems to be harmless for the moment.
In the Blue Kitchen someone is cooking, though the food has been burnt so badly that it is unrecognizable. The sound of someone weeping can be heard in the room, though at first it is impossible to see who might be crying.
Tucked beneath the table is the curled up form of one of the Grey Maids, she sobs softly into her knees, arms wrapped tightly around them. One of her hands seems to have been burned, but she has hidden it in her skirts, making it impossible to see. She does not respond to any attempts to speak to her, nor seem to notice that they are trying.
Unlike many of the ghosts in the house, she is immaterial, and attempts to touch her will only result in hands going right through her.

|| SECOND FLOOR
The black veil from the Red Bedroom has gone missing, though nothing is quite yet returned to normal. The air is perhaps even colder than the rest of the House, and there is still a profound sense of something missing. There is something green budding out of the pillow, thin tendrils crawling out of the centre of the fabric, clawing its way out of its prison.
Someone has left blankets and thermoses of hot liquids in the Attic, and anyone who dies during the night will find that this room is much warmer than most of the rest of the house, despite its closeness to the falling snow. In the corner, though, the Covered Door is particularly loud tonight -- the dust falling from the cracks of the boards as something inside pounds on it. Nothing speaks if someone tries to hail them, but the occasional desperate sound of breathing can be heard from the other side of the boards.
The door is still solidly locked, and nobody can enter it.
The Twisted have taken over the Observatory, casually draped on the couches and standing around the room in clumps. They have dressed themselves rather fancily, though the clothes hanging rather awkwardly on distorted bodies rather than draping attractively as they seem to wish.
A few move around with trays of fancy food and wine, and most of the creatures stand with glasses of wine in their hands, though some seem incapable of drinking with their mouths sewn shut. They do not speak, though a few offer sounds that are almost speech in a constant litany of noise.
They seem particularly unwelcoming to any of the house-guests that try to join their party, but any who have been experimented on by the Phantasms or are Non-human will find themselves welcome.
The food is congealed and rather unappetizing, and the wine tastes sour, but it would be quite rude to refuse what is offered.

|| BASEMENT
The tunnels in the Basement are frozen solid, the hard packed dirt radiating cold. The deeper the houseguests go into the basement, the colder it feels.
The doors at the end of the halls stand open, curls or white mist forming as the warmer air inside makes contact with the artic air of the basement. Beyond the doors the world is dark, no light shining there to offer even the slightest hint of what might lay within.
Anyone who dares to proceed should make certain that they have light.
In the Doctor’s Office the Doctor is in. The nurse sits quietly at the desk, face forced into the artificial smile as she rises to great the patients. The room is warmer than the hall, but only just.
Tonight the Doctor will see patients, and any of his former patients will wake with an appointment slip in their hands.
There are two new additions to his office, two small plastic cribs with lights hanging above them. Within them are two infants, both dressed in white, gender neutral outfits. Both have a small frog plush tucked into the beds with them, but there are no other spots of color around them. The baby furthest from the door is dark haired, while the baby closer to the door has pale, nearly translucent hair.
The Doctor works quietly at his desk, only occasionally glancing to the basinets and their contents, but not rising to touch them. He seems hesitant in allowing anyone to get close to the two children, and will rise to try to guide any guest away from them if the issue is pressed.
The Surgery Ghost sits in a chair in the Waiting Room. He is slumped to the side, the straight-jacket half torn off and exposing the pus-covered skin and bloody clothes beneath, caught on fresh-looking stitches. He is slumped on the arm of the chairs, but his eyes are bright with interest and awareness. He reacts eagerly to anyone who passes through the room, though he is clearly exhausted and cannot speak to them.
