NIGHT 023: THIRD HOUSE

|| FIRST FLOOR The Hot Springs are no longer the comfortable place they were during the day, the water in the main pool is now boiling heavily, and anyone leaning to look into the water might see the shape of a woman laying at the bottom of the pool. It is difficult to tell much about her with the distortion of the water, and trying to enter the water means dying nearly instantly. In the Orchard the Twins sit quietly on a blanket, surrounded by unmoving adults. They pass teacups from hand to hand, and whisper secrets to each other. The adults have an odd grayish color to them, as though they have only just been pulled from the water, and are entirely unfamiliar to the houseguests. They hold teacups, but they do not move or breathe at all. The twins continue their game of pretend obliviously, not seeming to realize that those surrounding them are all dead. The Hanging Tree is currently empty of corpses. A noose hangs from the lowest branch, swaying slowly in the air as though beckoning those within the house to come to it. A silent line of grey figure has formed in front of it; one by one they walk to the stool, slip the rope around their necks, and leap from the stool. As each body stops moving, the tree grows upwards, a new noose appearing as though grown from the tree. The victims have no expression on their faces, and nothing can be done to stop them. Before the night ends, the hanging tree will once again be full. A single noose remains open. The Front Door is decorated with a wreath of laurel, black lace and a smattering of human hair. [ Back to top ] || SECOND FLOOR In the Hedonist Bedroom, there has been a slight redecoration. A number of lotus flowers have been placed throughout the room, ringing the walls and the bed, interspersed with unlit candles. All the blooms are beginning to wilt. Anyone listening at the bedroom to the Stalker Bedroom will hear the sound of soft weeping, and a soft scrape as though someone paws desperately at the bottom of the door. Occasionally a soft voice can be heard, begging someone to let them out. But the door remains solidly and immovably locked. Between the Silk and Velvet rooms, the ball that the two prisons had been passing between them is on fire, spinning in the middle of the floor like a top. It shots sparks and puts off quite a bit of heat, but does not harm anyone who passes. The two dolls stare at it in rather obvious alarm, leaning back and away from it, though they periodically check on each other. In the Wax Room, the man is sitting up on the bed, gazing at the door with a thoughtful expression on his ravaged face. His lips move without sound, but much of the mania has faded from his expression. He seems to be waiting for someone. Lyhn stands in the middle of the Husk Bedroom, his eyes closed and the lantern hanging quietly in his left hand, staff resting against his other shoulder. His head is tilted up slightly, hood cast back around his shoulders. He doesn't move, or speak, though he seems aware of those who enter the room, and might move from his strange position should someone require his attention. [ Back to top ] || THREAT DOWN 1.
