|| GENERAL
Patrolling the First Floor tonight is a sentinel who seems almost on guard against the dangers of the night. The Dragoon stalks through the halls from one end to the other, though he seems disinclined to approach the Chapel Wing. He nods his solidarity to the high sensitives of the house, but does not seem to recognise anyone else as anything but a threat. His spear is held at ready as he walks, defensive rather than ceremonial tonight. He is occasionally able to herd other monsters away from those whom he has designated safe-- but anyone else is not offered his guardianship, and he may even help strike them down while the monsters seize them.
With the darkness pressing in, there’s another layer of danger throughout all of the Second House. The Echoes have appeared, and anyone is at risk for having their voice stolen tonight, although those that are momentarily alone seem to be more attractive targets. With plenty of cover and areas to move in they’re not to be taken lightly and can appear at any moment.

|| FIRST FLOOR
Though the second house seems unusually quiet for the night, the Chapel is once more full of silent ghosts, staring attentively at the altar in the front of the room. They do not move, nor will they shift if anyone attempts to speak to them or interact with them. Tonight they do not appear at all injured, sitting placidly in place on the pews. In fact, they seem strangely happy, many smiling.
The Vampire Hunter stands on the pulpit, though he says nothing to the gathered congregation. He seems on the verge of launching into some sort of diatribe, but holds his tongue for the moment. He will move to quickly remove any Non-Human characters from the main room of the Chapel, though any humans are welcome to join the congregation.
On the altar in the Lady In White. Her arms arms and legs are bound. She is gagged and blindfolded, her throat freshly cut, though she struggles to breathe despite the injury. Her blood drips down on the altar, a steady tide that shows no signs of halting. Despite the bindings holding her in place, she is trembling. Beneath her is a pile of wood, and her body has been covered in a fragrant oil. No one makes a move to light the pyre yet, but it is clearly the eventual intention of the display.
None in the congregation move to help her, and none seem to feel any sympathy for her pain. None will move to end it more quickly.
Just outside, beyond the door, is the Wax Daughter, much more lively than normal. She sprints back and forth anxiously, as if something has quite startled her and she can see no obvious escape route. Her hands are balled to her chest, and she keeps looking to the door leading to the chapel, but does not dare to approach it by more than a few metres.
The rest of her family have returned to their original place, with the Mother's and the Son's heads turned away from the Father, their necks at unnatural angles and looking as though they might break. The Father's face is twisted into silent anger, and he stares at them both from across the table.
In the pantry of the Plain Kitchen comes first a faint sloshing noise, followed by the high-pitched screech and grind of something sharp being violently dragged across brick and mortar. Following is a gurgling noise, the gargle of a moan trapped in a damaged throat, noise torn from the esophagus and never reaching the mouth. The Needle Woman emerges only a moment later with a screech of her voice and of her nails, spasming as she emerges from the water into the cold air. Putrid and foul water drip from her eye sockets, hair masking much of her face as it hangs limp and falling out. She is more aggressive than usual, tonight, seeking out prey as she crawls further and further from the safety of her well. Snaking through the water she scrapes her needled nails against the walls and floors, leaving gouges in wood and plaster. She does not travel more than two rooms away, but as night goes on she seems more and more inclined to consider going further.

|| SECOND FLOOR
There is a voice of quiet moaning in the Fake Bedroom, a woman's voice crying out her distress and her agony. The sound comes from the Patchwork Ghost, sitting upon the bed and examining her hands as if suddenly realising something about them. Her face attempts to convey intense distress, but she finds this difficult, the stitches tugging in the wrong directions and stopping her face from moving much.
It is almost possible to get into the room unnoticed, at first, if one does not make too much noise. She is distracted by the thick black marks along her body, picking idly at them and something even drawing blood. Disturb her, however, and the house-guests will find themselves lunged upon in an instant, her eyes widening as she notices them and her hands upon them in the next second. She is vicious and determined, using manicured nails to tear at the flesh, to rip pieces of it off in chunks.
